Discover the Eye-Opening Exhibit Now Featured at the Museum of Indian Culture
Don’t miss the Mystery Unearthed exhibit at the Museum of Indian Culture, which recreates the fascinating story of amateur archeologists in 1942. Their interest in collecting local Indian artifacts led them to excavate two rock shelters near the town of Broomall, Pennsylvania, but their romp in the woods turned serious when they uncovered a skeleton in one of the rock shelters.
Now on exhibit, see a replica of the Broomall Rock Shelters and discover how Lenape families or hunting parties may have occupied them for over 3000 years. This unique exhibit also includes some of the hundreds of items excavated from the site such as 200 stone and bone tools, pendants, over 1000 decorated ceramics fragments, and European trade goods.
At U City Flats, the premier apartments in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, we pride ourselves on informing our residents about all the upcoming events our beautiful community has to offer. Don’t hesitate to join this event on Saturday!
